$300 REWARD for Gold Necklace Lost on Turnpike Going Westbound

West Unity OH

Description

LOST: Yellow gold necklace with butterfly styled as a bolo tie necklace (does not actually adjust); approximately 16-18 inches; hook clasp REWARD OFFERED FOR RETURN: $300, no questions asked WHERE: I was driving westbound through Ohio and Indiana on October 11, 2022. I stopped at Mahoning Valley Service Plaza at around 6:30 pm, Indian Meadow Service Plaza at around 10 pm, and Rolling Prairie Travel Plaza in Indiana at around 11:30 pm or midnight. All times listed are local times. I'm sure I still had it on when I drove away from Mahoning Valley, and I only noticed it missing after I had bought a snack bag of goldfish crackers and a bottle of water at my last stop in Indiana before driving straight home to Chicago. I have already spoken with Crystal, the manager at Indian Meadow, and Michelle, the person in charge of lost and found at the Ohio Turnpike Administration. They were both incredibly sympathetic and helpful, but have not seen it or heard that anyone had turned it in. I have submitted a message to the Indiana Toll Road Concession Co. through their website's customer service contact form, and also got in touch with Deborah, the manager at the 7-11 there, who promised to pass on this info to the maintenance crews. This necklace has a lot of sentimental value for me, as my grandparents gifted it to me when I was born. They went all the way to Singapore to get it, since at the time Shanghai did not have the same quality and variety available. It must have slipped the clasp and I feel stupid and awful for not double-checking that it was tight when I put it on in the morning. If you picked it up, it would mean a lot to me to have it back. I've uploaded a picture of me wearing the necklace, the day that I lost it and a picture of the necklace that my mom took forever ago before she gave it to me for permanent safekeeping.
