Prop 1. Vote no. Strike 1. The purpose of a constitution is to limit the power and scope of government. This expands the power within each legislative chamber. Strike 2. A main tactic of the ruling class to sell bad ideas to us is the use of alliteration and rhyme. This prop uses the alliteration of the T sound. Alliteration almost always tries to hide a rotten idea with a catchy sound. Strike 3. These are unrelated topics in the same proposal. They are dangling the carrot of transparency while sticking it to us with expanded time in a single chamber. Strike 4. While the total number of years served is reduced, this amendment allows the years served in a single chamber to increase, thus expanding the power of the individual politician within that chamber. They are going to propose a measure to reduce their power? Yeah, right. Strike 5. The State Legislature voted to put this on the ballot. Yeah, they want to clean things up. Ha ha. Why do we need a constitutional amendment to get transparency? They could just enact a law to do the same thing. The text of the amendment benefits the Lansing elites. Bad x 5. No x 5.
