Description: The Residential Maintenance Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance, and improvement of three residential properties, in North County. Performs routine maintenance and preventive maintenance actions. Uses hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Operates vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, twin-axle vehicles, chainsaws, or electric clippers as needed. Gathers and removes litter. Waters or oversees lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans. Prunes or trims trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Requirements: Extensive knowledge in skilled trades, property maintenance, and construction. Five or more years of experience in home maintenance, repair, and remodeling. Strong carpentry skills. Knowledge and experience operating machinery, power tools including but not limited to grinders, surface sanders, and polishers is required Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, push and pull 50+ lbs, bend, reach, kneel, stoop, climb stairways, ladders, scaffold, and sometimes work on elevated work surfaces. Must be able to operate twin-axle, non-commercial, company vehicles (class C license required). Work is conducted outdoor, indoor, including in with exposure to fumes, chemicals and heat as well as noise and dust. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position which requires 40+ hours of work per week. Must be flexible to work additional hours as needed.
