Job Description U.S. Equipment Sales and Rentals is a heavy equipment dealership that specializes in the aggregate industry. We are currently expanding and looking for a Yard Coordinator to work with both our Parts and Service divisions. The primary purpose of this role is to assist in ensuring that all equipment coming in and out of the building is well inspected, maintained, and accounted for. The Yard Coordinator will oversee the arrival and departure of heavy equipment, ensure the readiness of equipment sales units, and maintain a clean and well-organized equipment / parts yard. The ideal candidate would possess initiative to maintain a clean and well-organized yard. Must be self-driven, hardworking, professional, and have a passion for operating heavy equipment. Working outdoors is a must as we have outdoor storage too. Responsibilities • Manage and organize the yard for equipment and parts. • Assist with all arrivals and departures of equipment within the yard. • Complete inspections on equipment for wear and damage and work with service manager to complete estimates, accordingly. • Document units arriving and departing through picture taking. • Ensuring equipment is ready to run properly when it leaves the yard for customer. • Perform shipping and receiving transactions in the computer system accurately and timely, for equipment and parts. • Unload and organize new parts inventory within the department’s bin system. • Safely operate forklift or other heavy equipment to transport parts around the yard. • Safely load and unload heavy equipment from a variety of trucks and trailers. • Assist in inventory cycle counts. • Perform additional duties as requested, or directed, by management. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED • Valid IL Driver’s License • Knowledge of computer use • Able to work in a team, and perform duties efficiently • Great communication skills, both verbal and written • Must be reliable and flexible with schedule as needed • Can safely lift 40lbs • Aggregate Industry experience a PLUS!* • 1 yr. of previous shop/yard experience preferred* • Ability to stand for long periods of time, while exposed to weather conditions.
