We are seeking an English speaking Maintenance worker for numerous buildings in the Chicago area. The successful candidate must have their own vehicle and a valid driver's license. The job consists of Maintenance/repairs, light rehab work, janitorial work, cleaning common areas, snow removal in the winter and landscaping in the summer. Minor painting will also be necessary. Responsibilities: polite interaction with tenants for necessary repairs, repair minor issues with equipment and buildings, complete maintenance and repair work orders in a timely fashion. Regular inspection of the premises (inside and out), upkeep of the aesthetics in and around the properties, maintain and repair inside common areas and the interior of the units in the buildings. Manage and prioritize repair work requests made by tenants, provide extermination services if needed. Disengage the garbage containers from the garbage compactors for a timely pickup. Remove snow and salt walk-ways, manage keys and locks. Qualifications: previous experience in maintenance or other related fields, familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment, deadline and detail-orientated, ability to hand physical workload. Most of the above tasks can be completed between the hours of 8am-5pm. There are however few emergency situations which will require work to be done after 5pm.
