Summary The Field Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all Field Service staff and for department processes, proper staffing, workflow, quality control, and maintenance and safety issues. This position is responsible for ensuring departmental productivity and performance objectives are met. The Field Service Manager selects, trains, directs, evaluates, and provides disciplinary action for all direct reports. Primary Duties & Responsibilities • Supervise, schedule, direct and train department employees in carrying out all activities. • Manage supervisors and entire workforce to operate safely, efficiently, and effectively. • Ensure that all company and departmental safety rules and procedures are complied with by direct reports and self. • Communicate effectively within the department, between departments, and between management and employees. • Coordinate with Field Service Administrative Assistant for dispatching of mechanics and technicians. • Coordinate with Field Service Administrative Assistant for machine parts and van inventory. • Assist account representatives in providing service to retailers. • Work with Area and On-Site Supervisors at Redemption Centers to service their equipment. • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all departmental paperwork and forms within the maintenance software program. • Conduct staff meetings with direct reports as needed. • Track, report and manage RVM, and asset performance. • Develop and coordinate ongoing training that increase machine performance, usability, dependability, reporting accuracy and safety. • Responsible for ensuring departmental productivity and performance objectives are met. • Assist with interview and selection of new staff and complete onboarding for all new staff. • Provide evaluation and discipline for direct reports as needed. Education/Experience • Bachelor’s degree in related field required • 2-4 years leadership experience Requirements – Skills, Job Knowledge & Abilities • Knowledge and ability to perform the essential functions of all direct reports. • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both internal and external partners • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook and experience with maintenance and dispatch software programs • Experience managing or assisting with departmental budgeting process • Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, handle frequent changes effectively and professionally, follow through on issues in a timely manner, and give excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy • Ability to analyze systems, identify opportunities for improvement, develop improved policies or procedures, and work collaboratively to implement organizational change • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members to further growth and resolve employee conflict. • A current driver's license and acceptable driving history is required • Experience with, and ability to use, RVM and compaction equipment, air compressors, hand tools, welder, and electrical diagnostic equipment • Regular, reliable, in-person attendance Supervisory Responsibility • This position has direct supervisory responsibility Travel • Occasional local and out of area travel required Apply for Field Service Manager using the link below:
