Gigging band looking for a cellist

Meets

New York City NY

Description

We're an original-focused Harlem quartet of 2 violins, cello and piano in the vein of a chamber pop White Stripes/Vampire Weekend, incorporating classical and jazz elements. We're looking for a cellist and have a free place to rehearse in Harlem with a baby grand piano. We're a band that really appreciates diversity and celebrates that. We've recently played a number paying NYC gigs, including the Knitting Factory. Bowery Electric, Shrine, and the Bitter End. Our music is influenced by indie, punk, rockabilly, pop, classical, jazz, blues, sometimes all within a single song. We have a full concert of material already written/prepared for this format. Here are vid from a recent show at the Bowery Electric: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yWna5QN6pI And here's an album with more rock and roll inspired songs that we've since adjusted toward a more classical format: https://rockpops.bandcamp.com/album/reverb-drenched-sunset-beach We're in our late 20s/mid 30s and have a mix of male and female band members. We've been in bands/groups that have toured and played for hundreds of people around the country and internationally. This band plans on performing in NYC mostly.
