Description

I posted this awhile back and luckily found another amazing songwriter but now on the hunt for more musicians. So throwing it up once again… I've started writing and recording a ton of music over the past year and think it's at a place to open it up to other folks. The stuff I’ve been writing I’d say falls along the lines of: Yo La Tengo, Sparklehorse, Cat Power, GBV, Grandaddy kind of vibes. Loud, lo-fi, but melodic. My buddy and I have been calling artists in this zone "lo-country." Essentially, forever chasing this feeling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYF4wbyrNyY As boring as it is, I’m simply just looking for some like minded people who are up for getting together, playing some music, figuring it out. I’ll be straight with everyone. As you may have guessed, I am in my early 30s with a full time job so though I’m down for meeting up a few times a week and playing as many shows in the area as possible, chances are I won’t be “hitting the road” and “going for it.” Down to record, down to write together, down for shows and down for pretty much everything else. From there? Let’s see what happens. Also, as much as I fully realize the stereotypical demographic of the artists I listed, I would also like to encourage folks who aren't like me (white, straight, male, etc.) to please reach out as well. It should go without saying but judging from the continuous influx of all dude bands, I feel like it, unfortunately, still needs to be said. I'm admittedly a music nerd. Here’s a playlist of mine to give you an idea: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6dDyWZUYW17n2PucUl6HtJ?si=b47ce32002d8427c I think that’s it for now. Feel free to get in touch, send over your favorite songs and videos and lets go from there!
