Charity Dinner and Live/Silent Auction November 5th to benefit: Horses of Warriors in Jamestown and Kenya Kids. Appetizers and live music at 5:00pm, Dinner at 6pm and auction to follow. Dinner Menu: Smoked tri tip, garlic mashed potatoes, veggie, salad, bread and dessert. Tickets are $60/person or $450 for a table of 8. Please call if you would like tickets or to make a donation. Some of the auction items include.... Scenic airplane rides, Airbnb home rentals, tea and spice basket, Taurus 38 revolver, day in Muphys, dinners and gift cards etc.... Horses of Warriors is a non profit that uses horse therapy to help veterans, first responders and their immediate families deal with trauma and daily struggles. The founder, Jamie, is an Army vet who struggled with severe PTSD and found working with horses to be the best therapy and now he is reaching out to others to help. They operate solely on donations and volunteers and are on 120 acres with currently 20 horses. Part of the proceeds will also go to help a rural village in Kenya add an additional classroom to the village school. They currently have approx. 120 kids in 3 classrooms.
