I am seeking knowledge and advice. I have been seeking a dream job for over 10 years. I have management experience and other bright things on my resume (or so I thought). However, the jobs that I would love a chance for never call me back. The only calls I get are for fast food jobs, cooks, and insurance sales jobs. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong (I suspect someone is passing negative info about me). So I need help. Can anyone with some hiring experience critique my resume/background? Also, I have a tiny bit of college. If I inflate that and say I graduated with an Associates degree, how will they know? Do they actually check? (Please don't give me the "you're lying" bit. In today's world, Corporate America, U.S. politicians, and lawyers all lie, deceive or withhold info - so lying is a norm and if they can, I can too.
