Hi! My name is Preston and let me tell you my story! I had to learn what compassion and cruelty was all in a short 24 hour period. A merciless individual put me in a vehicle and decided that they would drive to a rural road and throw me out into a ditch. I was petrified of what was to come. Alone and afraid I was, but a blessing came my way when a kindhearted person was able to call and report the incident to animal control. This person was my saving grace because they scooped me up and rushed me to the shelter. When I arrived I had what appeared to be road rash on my chin, but I was fortunate enough for nothing worse. In these short 24 hours I have learned that there is good and bad in this world and I hope for the rest of my days I can see the good this world has to offer.
I am good with other dogs and love to play with them. And even though I love treats, I have a very soft mouth and take them very gently. If someone could find it in your heart to take me in, I would be very grateful. I have much love to offer and just need someone to show me the way. By the way, I am neutered, fully vaccinated and heartworm negative! I do have a lot of energy but just give me a job to do or play fetch in the yard and I'll always try to please you! I'm one year old, 58 pounds and very receptive to commands and training. I promise to be good!
