Down East Singers will perform choral pieces as well as collaborative works with T-Acadie, a trio from Maine specializing in Acadian folk music. Band members Pam Weeks, Jim Joseph, and Bill Olsen play a variety of music from the French Canadian and New England traditions; Cajun waltzes and blues; two steps and Zydeco tunes; plus a variety of songs in 3-part harmony. Down East Singers will preview their December Noël Français concerts that include not only French-Canadian carols, but European French holiday repertoire. Some chairs will be provided. Attendees are also encouraged to bring camp chairs for comfortable seating. Rain date is October 23.
