Description

Mindful Employers is hosting “Ecosystem Thinking to Improve Your Impact”, a series of 4 conversations to evolve the way we work by examining interdependcies and impact for greater good. For many, the word ‘ecosystem’ brings forth visions of biology, the ocean, or forests. The concept of an ecosystem has evolved in recent years as we examine and become more aware of our intrinsic ties with nature - our interdependency. Individuals, businesses, and communities can each be viewed as ecosystems because the choices we make and the actions we take have impact beyond the individual - on our systems. To impact these broader systems positively requires a shift from extraction to regeneration. It begins with you, the individual. Then it flows to your employees, co-workers, customers, suppliers, investors, the communities you work in, and the planet. These are the stakeholders in your ecosystem. The sessions will focus on tools and questions to improve your relationships (social capital) and expand your impact awareness with with each stakeholder. These will be highly interactive discussions geared at learning, practicing, and sharing the wisdom and insights from those who participate. We are creating an intimate discussion circle capped at 10 people. You can attend Sessions 3 and 4, or just this session. Registration is separate for each date. Session 3 will explore our relationships with Customers and Suppliers, discussing interdependencies and co-creation for higher impact while moving to regeneration. We often limit our view of customers and suppliers in terms of how we interact. We sell to customers, and we obtain from suppliers. What if we approached these relationships as interdependent? This session will focus on stakeholder thinking using the concept of interdependency and the process of co-creation to create higher impact for your business and humanity. As we move from extraction in business practices to regeneration in alignment with humanity and the earth, we need to change our mindset from scarcity to abundance. In that shift, our language must evolve as well. Instead of competition we can think about business as "co-opetition" where there is enough for everyone. We can move from domination and power over, to alignment and empowerment through. Please join in Wednesday, October 26 th at the New England Ocean Cluster at 9:00-10:30 am. Pricing includes coffee/tea and a light breakfast. Register here for Session 3 Session 4 will take place November 2nd, 9:00-10:30 - Communities and The Earth – Moving from Extraction to Regeneration
