Speed dating is back! You must be within the age range of 25-65 years old. Each registration will come with a drink from the “call list” of wine, beer, & cocktails. Can choose to prepay for extra drink tickets in advance for discount. Each participant will be handed their drink ticket(s) upon check-in along with name tag &, if speed dating, event sheet. Each speed dating registration allows for registration of a plus one to the mixer without additional charge. Please note the “plus one” ticket does not come with a complimentary drink ticket. Each name tag will denote each person’s indicated pronouns and looking for. A key will be along with, if speed date, table number you are stationed at or starting at. For queer night participants will also be given a group letter along with table numbers. To prevent confusion of same names & protect privacy, we ask you provide a nickname (not username) to be used on name tags. If we deem a nickname inappropriate, we will inform you that we have picked one for you. Our goal is to have an even number of participants for equal split for the speed dating part of the event. If an odd number, please be aware that not every round will have a date. Halfway through there will be an intermission. The MC(s) of your evening will tell you when to rotate & announce a conversation topic at the beginning of each date to help participants break the ice a little bit, if you so choose to use it. For hetero evening, participants indicated as part of “male” half will move to the table on their right and those of “female” half remain seated. During queer night, the MC(s) will tell your letter group how to move throughout the night to ensure everyone has a chance to date each participant. Inappropriate, crude, or demeaning remarks or questions are strictly prohibited. Each speed dating participant event sheet will list all opposite participants to indicate yes or no to interest on going out on a date. Each sheet will gathered at the end of the night and will be compared, mutual agreement equals a match. Each participant will be emailed a list of their matches and their contact information (email address & other provided/indicated form of contact, NO phone numbers will be provided by Vino Third Ward or Starling).
