Register for UCSB’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance’s first intro meeting on Monday 10/17 at 6:00pm at NH 1110. Join our meeting to learn about the certification process, how to volunteer and becoming a board member! VITA - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance is a volunteer program on campus that provides free tax preparation services for peers and the Santa Barbara community. VITA services are not only free, but they are also a reliable and trusted source for preparing tax returns. All VITA volunteers must take and pass tax law training that meets or exceeds IRS standards. We provide all trainings and certification exams to you, at no cost. Trainings will occur in January and volunteering is from February to April. If you are interested in a career in tax or audit, this is a great way to learn useful tax knowledge before an internship and experience professional interactions with clients.
