I can’t believe that seemingly for the millionth time this has to be explained but here we go. The program to forgive student loans was not an automatic forgiveness. It was a program that you needed to sign up for, and it was only eligible to those who had federal student loans, and up to $10,000 was forgiven. As I understand it, there were other eligibility requirements that had to be met as well. It wasn’t eligible to people that took out private loans. Now, when most people go to college sometimes they may take out a combination of both. Or they get scholarships or are eligible for Pell grants. Last I checked, The government isn’t in charge of making loans for automobiles. If somebody decides to apply for a program, what business of it is yours? Out of the taxes that we pay, and where it all goes to, this is just a tiny sliver of what it goes to.
