Intro to Directing for the Screen This FREE 4-hour workshop will give an informative and hands-on lesson introducing students to the basics of directing a simple scene between two actors. Using a scene from a screenplay, students will learn: How to get the most out of filming a full scene by first analyzing the scriptHow to draw the best performance from the actorsPractical Exercises with Live ActorsWhat it means to shoot full basic-coverage (Wide, Medium, Tight, Sound, basic 3-point lighting)Register with Eventbrite to reserve your seat, as seating is limited. This workshop will be held at our new class location, the Story Parlor co-op! Blake Talley, an independent filmmaker, musician, and graduate of Colorado Film School, brings his experience in directing, writing, shooting and editing to this exclusive seminar. Blake recently completed filming a docu-series and has extensive training as an ABC news photojournalist, in addition to 15 years of independent videography, narrative film, and music production.
