Chattanooga- Chattanooga’s own Mid-South Symphonic band kicks off this season with a Broadway-themed show at the Volkswagen Conference Center at 2 pm on October 16th. For 32 years, the symphony has brought a mixture of jazz, pop, and classical to diverse audiences throughout the region.Conducted by Jim Souters, the all-volunteer band performs at charity events, fundraisers, churches, and more. The free concert will feature selections from well-known Broadway performances such as LesMisérables and Abba on Broadway. Symphony President Sheryl Campbell is excited to return to VW:“We appreciate all the wonderful support Volkswagen continues to give to the community in being avenue for cultural events like these.”
