Join us on Thursday November 10, in the Central Activites Center, at 6:30pm to discuss the merits of dissafilation from the UMC.
Rob Renfroe has been the president of Good News, a renewal movement within the United Methodist Church, for the past thirteen years. This past spring he completed forty years as a United Methodist pastor and is recently retired. The last twenty-one years of his ministry were spent at The Woodlands United Methodist Church where he oversaw the church’s discipleship ministries and was the lead pastor at the Loft. He also led Quest, a ministry for men with over 500 men in attendance weekly. That ministry has built 30 homes for persons living in the slums of the troubled city of Juarez, Mexico, and has made 15 mission trips to Honduras, building churches and homes for the poor.
Rob has been committed to the reform and renewal of The United Methodist Church for the past 20 years, serving as the president of The Confessing Movement before joining Good News. Rob has authored five books, including “Are We Really Better Together – An Evangelical Perspective on the Division within the UMC.”
Rob and Peggy have been married 43 years and have two grown sons.
We are thrilled to welcome Rev. Renfroe to Central!
