Weekly Drawing Classes offered at The Artist Attic Every Wednesday from 1-3 PM 511 N Main St, Phoenix, OR 97535 Instructor: Debbie Orr The classes are designed for beginning and advanced artist. $20.00 per class or $75.00 per month Topics that will be included in the classes: • An introduction to various drawing supplies and how to use them. • Art history, artist and various styles and techniques of art. • Composition. • The importance of creating a light source and reflective light. • Various shading techniques including hatch, cross hatch, stippling, etc. to create texture and dimension in your work. • How to use color: to create depth, 3-D effects and harmonious color schemes. • How to turn a circle into a sphere. • 1- and 2-point perspective. • Landscape drawing. • Botanical Illustration. • Colored pencil blending. • Etc. About the instructor: Since childhood I have had a deep appreciation for art and color. When I was in my 20’s I had the great privilege to move to New York where I enjoyed visiting all of the museum, galleries, artist exhibitions and demonstrations and where I learned about many styles of art and artistic techniques. I am a graduate of The Fashion Institution of Technology in NYC, where I studied art history, design, weaving, drawing, screen printing, painting with oils, inks, gouache and watercolor, etc. I am a member of the American Society of Botanical Artist.
