9 year old Babyface Maltese, 5 lbs. Sir Henry has been completely deaf since he was a puppy. He is a loving dog who needs a home where "his person" is with him the majority of the time. He can handle a couple of hours in his pen but will get very anxious if he is left for very long. He makes a perfect companion dog for someone who is mostly homebound or can take him everywhere as a support animal. He is perfectly content and happy being carried and held or sleeping next to someone most of the day. He loves to go on short walks and does well on long drives. He also loves sitting in the sunshine in the back yard so a doggie door is great but not necessary. He basically thinks he's a person not a dog :) So he doesn't like when he can't go along with everyone for whatever event is occurring. Maltese hair grows long so he'll need regular brushing and grooming. We have kept his hair long or shorter at differing times. Please be familiar with the breed and his grooming needs. It's no small task if his hair is long as he can get mats or picks up burrs easily. Sir Henry is good with younger kids but seems to prefer to have one or two adults or older kids as his people. He comes with his pen, food bowls and holder, a no bark training collar, a full bag of his food, grooming brushes & scissors, shampoo and some doggie clothes that he doesn't mind wearing and looks so cute in. :) He is neutered, fully vaccinated and is still on his first year of a 3-year rabies vaccine.
