Job Description: Crew Lead – Alff Construction The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this job. Basic Job Functions: As a Crew Lead employed by Alff Construction, you will monitor the progress of projects with clients while ensuring compliance with construction safety regulations. You will supervise construction workers and subcontractors, educate construction workers on site safety practices, and evaluate employee performance. You should be detail-oriented, hands on and knowledgeable of general labor equipment and construction safety regulations. You are able to interpret site routes as well as demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Include: Supervising and instructing the construction team Reporting to management the daily tasks delegated to them Maintaining an accurate record of construction employee’s attendance Reporting and documenting site related issues Evaluating the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency Oversee day to day operations of the facility Handles emergencies appropriately according to established procedures; prepare and file accident reports Communicate with customers regarding products and services Set project goals and oversee projects to completion, schedule and track assignments Required Skills/Abilities: Proven experience working as a Crew Lead or related job title Extensive knowledge with irrigation is a must Sound knowledge or general construction and construction regulation safety regulations Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment Outstanding leadership skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Strong project management abilities Confidence to thrive under pressure Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or related field is preferred Must have valid license for landscaping/irrigation as required by state Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday, some weekends Benefits: Health, Dental Vision, Long Term/Short Term Disability, Life/Voluntary Life Insurance and 401k eligible TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel – as needed which may include overnight stays.
