Description

PROJECT quarter horse looking new home. Estimated to be around 13. Rescued from a kill pen over a year ago. Since then, she has come a long way but, still needs a ton of work. Would currently be best for one specific person, as she takes a while to warm up to you. I have done some ground work with her over the last year but, have not really worked with her since roughly June due to multiple family deaths. I would love to keep her but, time and money don’t allow for her training needs right now. “Major” Issues: Food Aggression - She has been food aggressive since we got her. We had to separate her in the beginning from our mini pony due to her trying to kick at him every time they got grain. Not as aggressive around the round bale. She still shows signs of aggression towards other animals and humans whenever grain is put out. Hooves - Her feet need some work. She doesn’t stand great for the farrier. I have just recently gotten her more comfortable with her front hooves, however, she still doesn’t care for people around her butt/back hooves for people to touch them. She was due for her feet to be done a couple of weeks ago and the farrier was supposed to attempt to use something to calm her down to help her back feet, however, he did not how up or call. In the meantime we have been using hoof supplements and oils to help with the chipping/dryness. — Due for updated shots and coggins. Kill pen said that she had supposedly be ridden in the past. Based on ground work she has had experience doing something, however, she needs a major refresher and to learn to trust people. 1 five 0 zero firm
