If this sounds like a good fit for you... We are looking to hire multiple Lead Technician positions. Lead Technician Qualifications: • At least 21 years of age • Clean driving record • Valid driver's license issued in the state you live • Excellent driving skills • Experience/skill driving in adverse weather conditions • CDL (a plus; not required) • Excellent communication skills • Physically fit to perform the job responsibilities Lead Technician responsibilities include: • Always making safety your #1 priority • Safely driving yourself and another technician to each service location • Following all the rules of the road per NYS laws and regulations • Assisting to keep the vehicle clean • Complete all necessary paperwork (logs, service logs etc.) Here’s what we do: • We work in teams of two; one Lead Technician (driver) and one Service Technician. We travel from location to location removing ice and snow from the tops of tractor trailers. We use an extension ladder to climb onto the trailer and a snow shovel to remove the ice and snow. The 2 technicians alternate servicing every other trailer. • For every location and trailer serviced there is information that needs to be logged. Properly filling out log paperwork is essential. • Although we do get some service calls during a storm, most of our work begins right as the snow dies down. This can be at any point throughout the day or night. • Shorter in-town routes and longer out-of-town routes may be available. • We have work in 10 states across the northeast. Training pay starts at $20.00/hr. Upon training completion, Lead Technicians start at $25.00/hr. We pay for travel time. We offer monetary end-of-season bonuses along with escalating hourly bonuses throughout the season. In certain circumstances we pay for lodging & provide stipends for food/expenditures. We provide a vehicle for out-of-town service routes (pick-up truck - newer model – through Enterprise). We will pay $0.50 per mile for using your own personal pick- up truck/SUV for a local service route. Check out our Employee Testimonial page on our website.
