We are seeking an experienced maintenance technician to work at one of our properties. In this role, you will maintain the property to ensure a safe and attractive living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Duties and Responsibilities Include (but not limited to): Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Property Work within expense limits Coordinate special projects as directed by the Property Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as Monitor and maintain all building systems as Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal Perform repairs in occupied apartments, detecting any defects and malfunctions, immediately repairing and refurbishing the same. Gather all refuse to be thrown in dumpsters (Parkview Arms only) Vacant punch-out (All maintenance work required to turn apartment into a market ready unit) Effectively managing time and meeting all specified deadlines Punch-out maintenance may include: Changing hot water tank Changing or repairing all faucets, appliance, toilets, any stems leaking, drywall repair, replace counter tops, replace or re-grout and caulk any tiled areas. Building and property repairs: Changing light bulbs and light fixtures, any drywall repairs, remove any trash from grounds. Cut out tracks in drywall in vacant units (only at Worthington Gardens) replace and mud walls. Requirements As a Maintenance Technician, you must combine strong technical knowledge with a positive and sevrice-oriented attitude. You must be self-motivated and able to stay on-task under pressure, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities throughout your work day. It is also important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of different people in a variety of situations. Skills and Specifications: Minimum 1 year of experience in performing mechanical repairs and maintenance of home-related mechanical equipment. Basic knowledge of the repair and maintenance of other household appliances, plumbing and lighting fixtures. Ability to function well as part of a team Strong multitasking skills Valid driver's license Availability for on-call rotation Ability to regularly lift weights of over 50 Must have written as well as verbal communication skills HVAC certification and experience a plus, but not
