Order Picking Functions 1. Procure Pick Lists from Order Desk in order of priority for Sundries, Gallons, or Fives. 2. Accurately pick the products from the proper locations and build safe and secure pallets. a. Pick level to insure pallets are kept safe and reduce labor during housekeeping periods. 3. Use starter pallets if available, to reduce consolidation later. 4. Take completed pallet to proper dock for the assigned route/store. 5. Insure pallet is properly tagged and shrink wrapped for shipment, if appropriate. 6. Return Pick Lists to the Order Desk promptly when order is completed. 7. Develop knowledge of Vista Paint products and sundries to insure accurate picking. 8. Perform physical inventory process as needed. 9. Perform basic housekeeping on a daily basis and in depth housekeeping on slow days. a. Housekeeping includes sweeping, flat stacking, shrink-wrap removal, cleaning under and between racking, removing boxes/debris, and location signing. 10. Other tasks as assigned by management. Dock Functions 1. Consolidate pallets to proper stores so that more pallets fit on a trailer. 2. Load pallets in priority order and balancing the load. a. Never enter a trailer that is not chalked and either has a jack stand or trailer attached, the driver must not be in the trailer. 3. Complete load sheet to document what pallets are on each trailer. 4. Insure all products on the trailer is palletized and wrapped, no loose items. 5. Insure the proper mail bag box is placed on the tail if each trailer. 6. Attach chain/guard at the end of each dock that does not have a trailer. 7. Keep dock and staging area clean, debris free, and secure. 8. Other tasks as assigned by management. Machinery Operated 1. Vista Paint forklift training and certification must be complete prior to operating any type of forklift at Vista Paint. a. Daily PM check must be completed prior to operating any equipment. b. All Safety Rules Must be adhered to. 2. Operate Rider/Walkie to pick paint products from ground level. 3. Operate Reach Truck, occasionally, to down stock paint products. 4. Operate Order Picker to pick Sundry orders from heights up to 16’. a. Always use Lifeline and Harness when moving Order Picker. 5. Operate Forklift to load trailers and pull bulk products. a. Always wear Seatbelt when moving Forklift. 6. Operate both Tabletop and Straddle Shrink Wrap Machines. 7. Never operate damaged or broken equipment, report any issues to you supervisor. Qualifications 1. Be able to lift 5-Gallon containers of paint, often one right after another, some weighing as much as 62-lbs. 2. Available to work any schedule needed. 3. Willingness and ability to learn. 4. Must be able to read job related materials and write clearly. 5. Be a team player and work well with others. 6. Available to work overtime if needed. 7. Always work safely and watch for the safety of others. 8. Report damage or accidents to their supervisor.
