Thursdays, Oct. 20-Dec. 1 (except Thanksgiving) 5:30-6:45 PM Cornell Cooperative Extension, 615 Willow Ave., Ithaca Are you looking to  build the habit of mindfulness practice, but an app’s just not enough, or it’s hard to sit still?  improve your mood in stressful conditions?  help ease chronic pain, illness, or sleep?  manage overwhelm from caregiving demands or just daily living?  shift the focus off troubles and appreciate nature?  learn a Jedi Master skill for getting the most out of life? Includes:  Toolkit of basic mindfulness practices drawn from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course  Group support  Weekly (in-class) check-in to support you building the habit of daily practice  Tips for managing the holidays  Techniques for tapping nature’s resources to optimize well-being  PLUS an email check-in one month after class Laura Peters, MA, PHR, is a Qualified Instructor of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction who blends mindfulness with insights from nature and neuroscience. Since 2000, she has taught at Island Health and Fitness, Kendal at Ithaca, GreenStar Food Co-op and businesses, and spoken at regional and national conferences. NOTE: Class size is limited.
