Moving company in the central area is looking for the perfect employee to start ASAP! In this role you are responsible for coordinating container pick-ups from Horizon and Matson, working with the dispatchers on the distribution and return of containers from job sites. Ensuring there are ample supplies of van packs and ground equipment needed for the crews. This position is 90% behind a desk and 10% in a warehouse setting. (808)877-5556 Hours Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm Location Kahului, Maui Pay $18 an hour Responsibilities Monitor all items entering and leaving the warehouse; control and distribute all equipment and materials assigned to crew for job completions Maintain fleet and equipment inventory records for all assigned property. Schedule and/or make requests for maintenance, servicing and/or ordering of new property. Compile reports related to performance and productivity. Ensure compliance with the Military Storage Management Program; also ensure that inspections for pest control and fire extinguishers are done on timely basis. Serve as back-up support to assist dispatchers in responding to calls from the crews and customers and provide supervisory coverage on the weekends as needed. Perform other duties as directed by General Manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of freight/transportation background. Knowledge in Microsoft programs (Word and Excel), Outlook and Internet browsers. Familiarity with streets and geographical locations on Maui. Ability to manage people and give direction. Organized, detail-orientated, and able to multi-task. Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of employees, vendors and clients. Strong understanding of risk management.
