Cornhole TournamentPre-registration is encouraged, but we will also accept walk-in team registrations in person between 12pm and 2pm on the day of the tournament. Tournament style matchups will be randomly drawn and the games will begin promptly at 1pm. The winning team will claim two Plover Robes, a swag bag from Goodfire, and two pairs of Pit Viper shades ($500 value). Oh, and also the title of Portland's BEST cornholers for a full year. 100% of proceeds will be donated to STRIVE, an organization assisting people with emotional and intellectual disabilities to live with dignity and respect as active members of our community. Tournament RulesThe tournament will be capped at 32 teams and will be single-loss elimination. Team members at opposite boards face each other.8 bags start at one side. The loser of the coin flip, on the starting side, tosses second.Players alternate throws until no bags remain.Land a bag on the board = 1 pointLand the bag in the hole = 3 pointsThe difference between Team A's points and Team B's points are calculated to score each turn. First team to accumulate 21 points claims victory. Depending on number of registrations, first round matchups may be shortened to 11 points.Single loss elimination, winning team will move on to next round.
