High Red Yellow Sided Conure

Description

High red yellow sided green cheek conure needs to be rehomed. It's pretty friendly, and knows how to step-up. It’s mid-molt right now. Hatch date is 07/27/22. Backstory: I fully paid for one and was due to pick it up Monday October 10th. I even got it DNA tested (results in a week). However, some concerns came up and I came to the conclusion having a feathered friend in the family is not the best decision at this time. I can provide as much information as you'd like on this situation. I got the conure from A Parrot's Cove (they do not offer refunds as part of their store policy so this is not an option for me), and they are willing to hold onto him until I find a new owner. If anyone is interested in giving this guy a much better suited home than my own, I can always meet you at Parrot's Cove so that you may see the conure and we can transfer the ownership there officially if it becomes a yes from you. I want to make sure the conure goes to a good home. As that’s my priority, there will be rehoming fee of $300 but that's about on par with shelters to adopt, and for sure far less than what I paid for (I just want to deter flippers and make sure the conure goes to a forever home) with supplies included. I can provide pictures of receipt and paperwork upon request as proof that this is far less than the cost that I paid. I planned on donating the unused supplies and setups I have to an avian rescue, but I can include the supplies, too, if you want those. The cage is a sleepy time cage or meant for if the bird would like a place to retreat to during the day. The stand was meant to sit on my desk as I work from home every day. However, this cage is not a cage meant to keep the bird in for long hours. You’ll need your own flight cage if you plan to be out of the home for work or extended periods of time. I planned on switching over to colorless pellets slowly which is why there’s 2 different bags of Zupreem as well. *Please understand that a bird requires certain life changes that range from your cookware to refraining from using aerosols, certain cleaning products, candles, etc. Please research how to care for one if you've never owned a bird before.*
