Description
We are a local family owned and operated electronics recycling company looking for a warehouse employee to add to our team. We offer electronics recycling and other IT related services to the Whatcom County area. This is a part time position with an opportunity for full time in the future. We are looking for someone who is willing and able to drive a large box truck and a forklift. (Training Provided if needed) This position requires an ability to lift items weighing 50 lbs. The applicant should be organized and determined to keep a clean and efficient workspace. The applicant should be comfortable speaking to customers and answering questions they may have. Previous knowledge of recycling or electronics related experience is helpful but not required.
Job requirements:
-Ability to get self to and from work
-Ability to drive large box truck. Training provided
-Ability to lift at least 50 lbs multiple times in a day
-Organizational skills
-Basic Customer Service skills
-Ability to use a phone or computer to determine value of electronics
-Ability to use basic functions of outlook email, word, and excel
Job duties
-Receiving recycling from public drop-offs and processing it into a recyclable form
-Going to customer sites to retrieve electronics for recycling
-Determining resale value of electronics
-Maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse and other workspaces
-Greeting customers and helping them unload their vehicles
