Try My Blues Vocal Equation

Description

Power + Passion + Presence! I have performed (and can still perform) a broad variety of genres - classic rock, r&b, soul, pop 70s, 80s...even a little country. I love it all. But, my true wheelhouse is blues/blues rock/blues-dominant music. I can transform classics like Stormy Monday into a full-on tent revival. I shake the rafters to the likes of SRV and Bonamassa. I funk it up with the booty-centric verve of Popa Chubby. I'm in search of a home for my note-bending, scat-tastic energy somewhere in the Greater Bay Area. I have plenty of time and motivation to drive beyond what you may think for some bandstand magic. I have references who will attest to my old-school, leave-nothing-on-the-table approach and make no apologies about it. I'm never late, I'm never drunk on stage, and know the difference between practicing and performing. I work hard upfront to be free on stage. I appreciate solid musicianship...bands that come in when they're supposed to, understand ensemble performing, and bring it no matter what lousy stage they may be on some night. Angered by what COVID has done to temporarily gut our music scene, I'm anxious to remedy that by bringing my vocal equation to center stage. The samples I have are purposely broad, but you'll find some gems from the usual suspects with some poking around here: https://www.thelargesound.com/the-tunes ~ SRV ~ Coco Montoya ~ Joe Bonamassa ~ Paul Rodgers ~ Tommy Castro ~ Robert Cray ~ Keb' Mo' ~ Popa Chubby ~ Los Lobos I'd love to hear from you, love to see what you're playing, love to bring something to your project - either as a full member or guest artist.
