This is a safe and substance free experience for movement, connection and empowerment Ecstatic Dance is practiced barefoot to electronic soul-stirring world rhythms. Our DJ has the ability to craft a movement journey designed to help you move with your body's innate intelligence and release what no longer serves, creating an uplifting and connecting energy field. Through dance, we believe everyone can discover, unleash, and enhance their individual potential to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. By engaging our senses and listening to our bodies, we connect to others and shape a consciousness that extends beyond our own. Come join us! Please leave props at home - We want to ensure everyones safety and keep integrity for the dance floor 2. No inflatables, large headpieces, or extra long tails - use arm length as guide for what is acceptable. Let's be mindful and make sure to give everyone enough dancing room. 3. Make sure costumes are still comfortable and you're able to move easily. GuidelinesEcstatic Dance is a FreeForm Dance Experience with Simple Guidelines to Help bring Safety and Sacredness to the Dance Floor. Here are the three non-negotiable guidelines: 1. No Alcohol or Drugs - Ecstatic Dance is a space free from intoxicating substances. Please arrive clear headed and ready to get high naturally through ecstatic technologies, free from the interference of external substances. 2. No Talking on the Dancefloor - Move out of our heads and into our bodies. We leave behind the words and worries of the day and connect with one another in new ways. Reserve quiet, low whispered talking to outside edges of room. 3. Respect One Another - If you’re approaching others, make sure they consent to it. If approaching or somebody offers you a shared dance and you are not interested, remember to use non-verbal communication on the dancefloor. Please leave your shoes at the door and phones off the dance floor. Move as You Wish. Be Yourself. Celebrate Existence. FAQs What should I bring?Please bring a water bottle, there is a refill station next to men's bathroom. Yoga mats are encouraged for opening session. What if I can't arrive right at the start?That's ok, come when you can! The schedule is listed for your information - please feel free to arrive when its best for you. Opening and closing sessions may vary per event. What's the venue like?Community Arts Center is located in the Downtown Wilmington, it's a single room with wooden floors, with plenty of sitting/stretching area along the sides of room. What about parking?There's paid public parking available next to location as well as street parking. Free street parking after 5pm weeknights. See map below. What’s the refund policy?In order to protect the livelihood of our DJs, teachers, and producers, we have a strict refund policy. All tickets are final sale and cannot be exchanged or refunded. In the case of an event cancellation without a rescheduled date, a full refund will be automatically issued to each patron on the credit card used to purchase. By purchasing a ticket to this event, you agree to this purchase policy. Before purchasing your tickets, double check the time and location of the event. DJs and teachers are subject to change. Are tickets transferable?It is not possible to transfer a ticket from one account to another. Instead, you can edit your order information to put your ticket under someone else’s name and email address (if you see the option). This does not remove the ticket from your Eventbrite account, but the new attendee will receive an email prompting them to claim tickets when you save the change. If you purchased tickets from a third-party seller (not the event listing) or had tickets purchased on your behalf, you won't be able to log in and update the information on the original order. The original ticket buyer needs to perform the transfer in this case or contact the event organizer for assistance.
