Speaker: Scott CostelloScott Costello is the Director of Communications for the City of Tupelo and executive assistant to Mayor Todd Jordan. He joined the city on July 1, 2021. Before joining the city, Costello worked for 19 years in the Marketing and Public Relations Department for North Mississippi Health Services. Born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Costello earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. He has worked as a reporter for the Pocahontas Star Herald weekly newspaper in Pocahontas, Arkansas, and as a sportswriter for the Russellville (Arkansas) Courier News. In 1994, Costello returned to Arkansas State to work in Athletic Media Relations, where he served eight years before moving with his family to Tupelo. Costello and his wife Karen recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They have three children and two grandchildren.
