The Urban League Twin Cities would like to thank you for choosing us to partner with you in taking this important step in your journey to homeownership. We are here to help you navigate the home buying process and make conscience decisions about one of the largest purchases you may ever make. As with any endeavor, the more you know about homeownership, the better able you will be to reach your goals. Our Homebuyer Education Workshop will provide you with an overview of the homebuying process. Enrolling in a homeownership education class is a good start for any first time home buyer. Class topics include, but are not limited to: budgeting, purchase readiness, selecting the best mortgage prices, understanding the home buying process, home warranties, lending fees and options, understanding credit, shopping for a home and ways to protect your investment. The class will be facilitated by a Housing Counselor who will help navigate clients through the homebuying process. Participants will meet with lenders, real estate agents, home inspectors and insurance companies to get a clear understanding of what purchasing your first home entails. This is a FREE event.
