Join us this November to craft your own model canoe. Maryland has been home to many indigenous people groups long before the arrival of Europeans. These included Algonquin, Iroquoi, and Siouan, which contained many individual tribes. The tribes of Maryland crafted traditional canoes that they used to travel across Maryland's many waterways. Learn about this history and create your own model canoe from leather, decorated with beads and paint. Join us Saturdays 10AM-12PM at the Miller House Museum & Gardens, it's free! Our workshops are designed for families to share quality time together while creating something fun and educational.
