Looking for skilled bench carpenters and Helpers for busy cabinet and architectual millwork shop. Details and description of some of the job duties: -Cut timber to the right size and shape and trim parts of joints to ensure a snug fit. -Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels, by hand or boring machines -Attach parts or subassemblies together to form complete units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws, and/or clamps -Assemble units based on blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or oral or written instructions. -Install hardware such as hinges, handles, catches, drawer pulls, etc -Match matierals for color. grain, and texture, jgiving attention features of wood -Measure and mark dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock prior to cutting, following blueprints to ensure a tight fit and quality of product -Produce and assemble components of articles such as store fixtures, office equipment, cabinets, and high grade furniture -Reinforce joints with nails or other fastenres to prepare articles for finishing -Set up and operate machines including power saws, jointers, mortisers, molders, shapers, etc -Trim, sand, and scrape surfaces and joints to prepare articles for finishing -Veritfy dimension and check the quality and fit of peices in order to ensure adherence to specifications -Apply masonite, formica, and vinyl surfacing matieral We are looking for full-time and part-time employees.
