A bit of a drive but definitely worth it! My name is Mrs. Shafer and I am a 32 year old stay at home mom located in a safe, quiet rural town called Falls City. It’s roughly two hours away but I know finding someone available for these types of childcare can be tricky so I made the decision to branch out and advertise here as well. I have been a mother for 12 years now and have been babysitting since I was 13 years old so I have experience with children of all ages as well as children with various disabilities. I have been trained in first aid and CPR although I am not currently certified, this is something I do to make a little bit of side money and have a sense of purpose as I am a stay at home mom. I have a clean, baby proofed 3 bedroom home that my two sons currently reside in with my husband and I along with my two daughters who are here part time but primarily with their father during the school year due to a better school district. We have a large variety of beautiful parks in our town that we frequent, we love participating in holiday related activities and outings, and I always have crafts lined up for all of the children I sit for. We serve home cooked meals, healthy snacks, and drinks and I have experience both with my own incredibly picky eater and with dietary restrictions so as long as you inform me there is no issue at all. I cater to all religions and incorporate them to the best of my ability/knowledge along with everyone’s personal parenting style. I encourage all new or potential clients to write out a basic parenting plan to help me stick to your guidelines to the best of my abilities as I know schedules for young children are important to maintain.
