"You got proof that people changed their party affiliation?" ...........................People didn't change their party affiliation as much as the parties changed their priorities and conservatives leaned toward the party with conservative values and liberals followed the party with liberal values. "Go ahead look at the polls you will see that Democrats and Republicans have people that have conservative or liberal views." .............................Of course there are moderate conservatives with some liberal views and moderate liberals with some conservative views. What's your point? "So based off that fact I am going to say people of both parties have members in the KKK" ........................The KKK has no moderate members. You're all in or you're all out. Clearly, you have difficulty recognizing facts. The KKK is an extreme conservative group. Not a moderate conservative group....and most definitely not a moderate Liberal group. "but that doesn't change history on who started it which was the Democrats." ..........................History will always ID Democrats and Republicans based on the party's name when events occurred. History will also ID that Conservatives and Liberals have different affiliations and that the 2 parties have changed those affiliations over time. If this were not true, then why was the south in the 1860's heavily conservative and heavily Democratic but now they are still heavily conservative but mysteriously Republican. People didn't change, just the values of the party they chose to vote for. It's like saying the Baltimore Colts of the 1970's is the same team as today's Baltimore Ravens. It's not difficult to change a label but it's incredibly difficult to change an attitude like liberalism or conservatism. Many of the worst aspects of America like slavery, Civil War, KKK, McCarthyism, segregation, Jim crow laws, red lining, Trumpism......these are all conservative values regardless of political party labels. Since you are clearly a conservative, perhaps you can sleep on that. "So have a nice night." .................Thank you, I will.
