Versatile all-round drummer/percussionist

I am very versatile drummer, 54 years, interested to connect with people playing music in one way or another, or that look for a guy to keep rhythm and groove. Since a kid i have played either drums, piano, trumpet or been singing. Stylistically i'm open. Early inspirations was ABBA, Kiss, AC/DC, Ozzy, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Frank Zappa,Bob Marley, Scorpions, Disco or mostly everything that Norwegian broadcasting System had out on radio. Then jazz, funk, blues, latin hip-hop, and a bunch of stylistically varied sounds came to me. I got myself a bachelor in jazz-drums performance, did a recording with a jazz trio and after that i had my income from both teaching, touring or playing local. I like working locally, both acoustically and electric. People seem to like my ability to play at low volume but intensly at the same time. I play drumkit, some orchestral instruments, and certain latin- percussion instruments. I read sheet music quite well. Today i am working as a drum instructor, 12th. year fully employd. I teach both kids, adolecents and a few adults as well. Its very rewarding to pass on what i was given. I play all kinds of venus when i'm asked, tonight i was rehearsing for three "gigs" in three churches. I hope i can share my experience with other musicians that i connect with. I think it is about giving from our own source, and make each other sound good. I am very attracted to the roots of rhythm, the african rhythms. I like very much to dive into certain styles of music, to study how the masters thought it, and then try to make it personal, but also improvise off course. All these years i've been a member of a wind-band, a orchestra playing classical repertoire and a instructor for drum-bands for girls and boys.
