Job duties: · Sewing stage curtains. · Shipping and Handling when needed. · Inspecting, cutting, stocking, and keeping inventory of material when needed. · General Clean up. · Promote Pittsburgh Stage, individually and professionally at all times. Responsibilities: · Sew curtains as needed to maintain project deadlines. · Maintaining a running inventory of materials and general recordkeeping. · Maintaining the sewing schedule, etc… on the project database. · Assist in packaging finished curtains. · Inspecting, measuring, cutting, and labeling of fabric for sewing team. · Inspect, label, photograph, and enter deliveries into electronic purchase order log. · Label, photograph, and send photos of shipments to vice president for stored materials invoicing. Indicate project name and PO# in labels for all photos. · Review packing lists versus items received prior to delivery driver leaving. Note any damaged or missing items, on the delivery drivers form. Take Photos. · Maintain cleanliness of sew room, storage areas, and dock. Take empty pallets or framing from shipping to appropriate areas for storage or disposal. · Snow removal from dock area, ramp, and stairs. · Remove empty boxes from office daily and place in box storage or break down and place in cardboard dumpster to recycle as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications: · Must possess strong problem solving/communication skills and work well with a team. Attention to detail is a must. · High School diploma or equivalent. · Must be able to perform data entry on computer. · Strong communication, prioritizing, following direction is a must. · Basic knowledge of sewing machines and tooling is a must. · Accurate record keeping for time and material jobs. · On the job and equipment safety is a must. · Demonstrates a can do attitude with willingness to learn. · Ability to lift objects up to 100 lbs. · Ability to push and pull objects repetitively and frequently up to 100 lbs. · Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day. · Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. · Must be able to use both hands for repetitive grasping of objects. · Overtime may be required during critical times of the year. Overtime will be determined and managed by the department leadership. Requirements of this position to include: · Work 8 hours per day; 5 days per week as required. · Ability to bend and twist frequently, seated and standing. · Ability to use both hands at all times. · Ability to use both feet at all times. · Climbing is required. · Occasional crawling is required. · Ability to squat. · Ability to reach frequently. · Push, Pull, lift, and handle heavy objects. Compensation and Benefits: Weekly Pay Direct Deposit Health insurance (The first day following sixty days of employment) 16% employee contribution.
