Your right on point with your comments about this particular keyboard player. I chatted with him about possibly hiring him. Sounds like a nice guy but the thing with him is he is living in the past. His experience is playing with name performers where they did provide him with pianos and keyboards, travel expenses, charts etc. He doesn't understand that today this has all changed for the most part and you will be humping your own gear, traveling on your own, might need your own charts etc. He doesn't want to except this and hence he is looking for the situations he had in the past. He is a really good player but he wants to hit and run. Play your gig then off to Vegas for another show and on and on. I doubt he is getting lots of work if any but thats the impression i got of him. Hey if he can get what he asks more power to him but in this economy and the way that bands are today its not likely. All the stars he played for have either passed or have changed with the times. Just me 2 cents.
