Ashland OR

Description

Hi. We need help getting stalls cleaned (horse, and some goat and chicken), waterers cleaned, chickens tended, horses and livestock guardian dogs fed. There are sometimes other little tasks. It averages 1 1/4 hours/day in the late Fall/Winter, depending on the weather, 45 minutes or less per day in late Spring/Summer/early Fall. We can be flexible with the schedule. Three days a week, not consecutive, is best. Compensation is $80 on the 1st and 15th, plus an additional $10/a day for someone to milk goats (number varies--currently four) on the same evenings they're here for other work. We can train an animal-wise person to do this. (Pay for this starts when you can do it by yourself.) A half gallon of milk a week, is optional. The animals tend to stay indoors more, when it's colder, more outside when warmer and grazing. So stalls get messier and the work takes longer, in times of weather. There are occasionally other jobs around here that you can opt for, or not. The ideal person truly loves and feels a kinship with animals, and has good sense both of the animals and of their needs. No smoking on the property, no drug usage. You do need a reliable car and a strong body. References required. Should live relatively close to Tolman Ck Rd and Siskiyou in Ashland, to make it worth it. Blessings.
