The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for learning all preventative and routine maintenance and repair of the Moba grader and all of the associated equipment involved in the packing, shipping and grading of eggs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment as required by manufacturer’s specifications and SOP’s  Responsible for routine maintenance of the waste water system  Troubleshoot maintenance issues with all equipment as needed within the processing plant  Order appropriate parts and supplies to support maintenance of the all equipment  Keep machine and equipment downtime minimal in order to maintain plant efficiencies optimal  Continuously demonstrate safe work habits. Support other safety matters throughout the processing plant  Support activities and programs to prevent accidents and injuries  Work closely with the Plant Manager Shell Egg to identify and address issues that arise with the proper urgency  Responsible to report any food safety and quality issues/concerns to their manager and/or quality team  Pursue opportunities to improve self  Support the Plant Manager Shell Egg in achieving goals and metrics established for the Processing Department  Other duties may be assigned and subject to change in accordance with business needs EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Graduate or GED (preferred) or up to 2 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  2 or more years of experience working on egg processing equipment and related plant equipment.  Experience with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical, basic diagnostics.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers. Long term, temp hire throught the company with pay increase.
