GSL Properties, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician II. This position is located at The Union Station apartments in Portland, Oregon. Union Station is a multifamily community that consists of 457 market rate and tax credit units. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to work with a dynamic team of experienced professionals. In this position you will be a major contributor to the overall success of the community. This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus! Day to Day Tasks/Responsibilities: Performs resident maintenance requests Turns units, including painting and general maintenance Maintains exterior and grounds of the property ensuring good curb appeal and hazard free environment Insures “turned” units are inspected and move in ready prior to scheduled move in date Empties dumpsters into compactor Performs pool and spa maintenance as needed Posts notices generated by the office Characteristics: Self-Motivated, collaborative team player Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to consistently complete grounds, work orders, and turnovers by specified deadlines in a fast-paced environment Education and/or Experience: Two or more years of maintenance experience and/or equivalent related experience General knowledge of minor building maintenance; plumbing, electrical, carpentry and drywall repair Prior painting experience Valid driver’s license Ability to speak, read and write basic English Employee Benefits: medical and dental insurance 401K with employer matching contributions PTO - 16 days of paid time off per year (at hire) 7 Paid Holidays Bonus potential Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite, Monday through Friday Pay: $19 - $22 per hour, based on experience About Us: GSL Properties, along with its affiliated companies, is a vertically integrated developer, builder, owner, and manager of apartment communities in six Western states.
