I am seeking an EXPERIENCED HOUSEMAN for a family in Brentwood. DO NOT APPLY if you do not have experience in this position. This position must have experience with the following responsibilities as a Houseman: • Execute day-to-day tasks as assigned and confirm the completion of each assignment. • Communicate and coordinate with the Estate Manager to schedule and prioritize work tasks and report back when completed. • Walk the estate grounds at a minimum one time per day to ensure everything is in order and report back anything that needs to be addressed. • Report any missing articles, damage, or mechanical problem. • Examine grounds for safety issues, environmental changes, and structural upkeep and report back any safety hazard. • Execute very high-quality cleaning duties, as required, for both the interior and exterior of the estate. Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, yard cleanup, debris and trash removal and car detailing. • Maintain inventory of equipment, appliances, and supplies. • Keep stock of supplies and place orders when necessary. • Complete emergency and regular maintenance requests in a timely manner in sequence or by level of urgency as instructed. • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment. (This includes cars, machinery, tools, etc.) • Inspect various tags (car registration, fire extinguishers, etc.) for expiration. • Perform repairs and basic / minor routine and preventative maintenance including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, general repair work, tennis court maintenance. • Diagnose and fix basic mechanical issues. • Report any irregularities immediately. • Perform errands as directed by principal family members. • Assist co-workers as instructed or as needed. • Embody a professional presentation and attitude. • Wear uniform if asked and maintain a good personal hygiene Expected skills and abilities required includes but are not limited to: • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, ladders, basic plumbing tools, drain cleaners • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. • Ability to maintain focus while working individually. • Demonstrate strong time management and communication skills. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. • Operate maintenance equipment safely to avoid accidents. • Maintain tools and equipment safe, clean and in good working condition. • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry in excess of 25 to 50 pounds. • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks • Must be detail oriented, organized, and punctual • Work on high ladders and walkable flat rooftops.
