Construction Company Seeks Laborer General Contracting Company has an entry level position available for a General Laborer. This is a position that can be useful in learning more about general construction prior to attaining a more skilled position, such as a Carpenter. A Laborer is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. The majority of projects are located throughout the greater Los Angeles area, including Santa Monica. _______________________________________________________ The essential job duties of Laborer: Responsible for performing general clean-up around the job site, which includes clearing the site of rubble, debris and other waste materials to eliminate possible hazards. Load, unload and identify building materials, machinery, and tools and distribute them to the appropriate locations. Participate in demolitions. Assist Construction Managers. Must demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn all aspects of construction. Competencies: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Works well in group problem solving situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction and/or tasks related to project. Basic computer skills required for timesheet entry via computer or cell phone application. Education / Experience: High School diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ** Please send resume and/or list work experience and skillset in email reply.
