Full or Part time Position (Mon.-Fri. ***No Weekends***) $16-$22 per hour Parker Moving Services is a small moving and delivery business based in Charleston, South Carolina. Founded in 2018, we provide white glove moving and delivery of art, antiques, and high-quality furnishings. We provide specialized local and out of state moving and delivery services. Our target customer base consists of interior designers, museums, and clients who require a higher level of care than the typical moving services provide. We are currently looking for a delivery assistant / mover to join our team. In this position you will work directly alongside, and take direction from, the business owner. This position involves a mixture of demanding physical labor and extended time on the road. This position requires the candidate to assist in the day-to-day operations of the business. The core of this job is moving and delivery, you will also be responsible for helping with the organization and management of a small warehouse. Depending on the candidate, this position can be between 20 and 40 hours per week. An individual with moving/logistics experience is preferred but hands on training will be offered to suitable candidates. Based on the jobs, normal workdays range between 8:30am and 5:00pm. Typically, every other week or so, there is an out-of-town trip that requires an earlier start and later finish. On occasion these out-of-town trips will require a night in a hotel (paid for by employer). The ideal candidate possesses the following qualities: • Self-motivated • Punctual • Ability to communicate with customers in a professional, polite, and courteous manor • Presentable appearance and good hygiene • Ability to carry 75+ pounds for and an extended period • Ability to use hand tools and properly assemble furniture • Non-smoker • Ability to take on new tasks as job requirements evolve from job to job • At least one year of experience in the moving industry Requirements: • Ability to pass a drug test • Clean criminal record • Highschool diploma or equivalent • Drivers’ License • Reliable transportation
