Action Games is hiring for immediate part-time positions. This is weekend work for Saturdays and Sundays. Paintball experience preferred, not required. Paid on-site training. Free lunch provided. Payment begins at $80 per day with extra $$ offered to exceptional candidates with experience and those willing to commit to EVERY Saturday and Sunday until the end of November. Paintball closes from December thru February and the 2023 season begins in March 2023. Staff will be invited back for the 2023 season. Job duties: -Officiate paintball games. -Monitor for player safety. -Paintball field maintenance. -Enforce gameplay and safety rules. -Recharge Paintball Air-tanks (very easy to learn) -End-of-day clean up. -Some heavy lifting (up to 40 pounds). The ideal candidate: -has reliable transportation to and from the paintball venue -is able-bodied and capable of standing, walking, and jogging for up to 6 hours -has a high school diploma or equivalent (exceptional high school seniors who DO NOT play school sports will be considered) -is punctual -enjoys working outdoors -enjoys watching paintball players shoot each other -is not afraid to get hit by the occasional paintball (players rarely hit the refs. It happens, but not very often) -has paintball and/or referee experience (extra $ offered) -has POS/cashier experience (extra $ offered) -is willing and able to commit to working every Saturday and Sunday until the end of November (extra $ offered) What a standard day looks like: Staff arrive at 9 am to set up and prepare the facility to receive guests. When guests arrive, staff help guests get fitted for gear, load their paintball guns, and stand by to head out for games. Staff then escort players to the paintball grounds and review the mission objective. When the game starts, staff serve as safety marshals and monitor players. This is the fun part. You get to watch people shoot each other with paintballs and call them out if you see them get hit. You also need to ensure they keep their masks on and that everyone is playing safely. When the game is over, staff will escort the players back to the safe zone, ensuring all players have secured their paintball guns before entering. Staff then stand by to recharge the guns with air. This is super easy. Once all players are ready, another game begins. Lunch is served to all players and staff. After lunch, staff continues officiating games until 3 pm. After the last game, staff will close up the facility, return all gear to storage, and get PAID when all is done. If all goes well and everyone works efficiently, we're done working between 3:30 and 3:45. Staff usually earns an extra $15-20 in tips, paid out in cash.
