Stop Saying your a pro Your Not

I see so many posts that say " pro's only" or " im a pro " Stop it, Just stop it. If your a pro, that means thats hwo you make your living, thats your job, anyone else is a varied skill level. If your here, looking for band-mates, your very likely not a pro. You can still be good, but let's all be real here. Im not a professional musician, im better than some, worse than others... so i dont advertise as pro. Ive either been on auditions or auditioned players that say they are pro, only to be less than shocked when it's a trainwreck of a boys night out. Honesty and no ego is really whats needed. That and a graded scale where you admit 10 is a pro. Technically to me pro means more than its how you make your living but that shold be the defined minimum. Pro to me, in todays world, means you read,write and are proficient in multiple styles. Its like hiring a pro plumber..... you would want this person to be skilled,schooled and not a weekend plumber, that's what a pro is. A pro has a website, recent sound files, recent videos that are not of you fucking off at some crap rehearsal studio. Be real with yourself and the rest of us...gas and time are too valuable to be wasted.
